Mentoplasty is a word formed from Italian "mento" (chin) + plasty.

Mentoplasty means correction of the chin form, if the chin is undeveloped or heavy, dissymmetric, disproportionate or cut. A conclusive advantage of mentoplasty is its high tolerability and no need for general anesthesia.

Non-professionals can hardly imagine how strong is the influence of the chin form on the face proportions that might change to fascinating or awful. However, this wonderful feature of the chin form is well-known. For example, a determined or weak-willed man's chin can tell much (and often undeservingly) about its owner.

It appears that the beauty of our face is subject to the geometry laws, and proportions of an ideal chin are known for centuries. Chin contour correction (mentoplasty) is used when there is an expressed chin asymmetry or when the chin is undeveloped. A wrong chin can be corrected with implants.

How to remove an excess chin

Aftercare
